A big thank you goes out to Kimmi Achord, our June guest designer. She did such an amazing job with the June kit. I love all the special details she adds to her projects, just see below.
"Our Home"
I love how she used the pom pom trim here to back the chipboard circle.
Here is another super cute touch with the stamps from the kit.
"Memories"
I love this glittered chipboard swirl.

This is called "Anything but the kitchen sink." The challenge is to use any item found in a kitchen *except* for the kitchen sink (because then it would be hard to fit your layout in a page protector ). You have to use at least one or more non-scrapbooking items from your kitchen.

OK, so we are deviating off the beaten path of the regular "Technique Tuesday" to bring you a blog exclusive sketch from Lucy Edson, design team member and layout sketcher extraordinaire.
So here is the deal. You need to create a layout based on the sketch below. It can be 12x12, 8 1/2x11, 6x6, 8x8. Whatever gets your mojo going. You need to upload your project to our gallery, then link us to your creation in the comments section here. Here is your sketch:
So what do you have a chance of winning after doing all of that work?? You have the chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to the A Million Memories store. You know you want those new Prima flowers or the new My Little Yellow Bicycle Traveler line, so go get scrapping.
You have until Monday June 22nd at midnight to upload your layout to the gallery and to post a link here. I will choose a winner at random because I am the blog hostess with the mostess. So go on already, get scrapping.
This week Lucy brings us our Layout of the Week. She chose Kerry Murray's layout "Free Spirit".
Here is a little more with Kerry in a small interview with Lucy.
1. What got you started in scrapbooking? I got started in scrapbooking when a friend showed me some pictures that she had done. I loved it and went looking for scrapbooking
shops. That was four years ago now and haven't stopped.
2. What three supplies could you not scrap without? I couldn't scrap without my distresser tool Heidi Swapp, my guillotine or my double sided tape.
3. What is your favorite part of scrapbooking? My favorite part of scrapping is seeing my pictures all scrapped in a book with stories most of the time. I am glad I started this hobby as when my older children were young I never had the inclination to scrap. It was not around like it is today. I have found it great to record my youngest child's journey so far. It is funny how you forget all the little things and habits that they have. So for me it is the memories.
4. What are your favorite products or manufacturers? Favorite by far is Prima, then it would be Websters Pages, Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey and I also like Little Yellow Bicycle.
5. What inspired this layout? I was inspired to do this layout firstly by the photo then by the red in this layout as I love the look of the pattern in this paper. I cut it out then I built the layout up from there. Prima papers really come out with some wonderful flowers and papers that I really love to scrap. A lot of the time their papers really do inspire me to do a layout. And also a good photo makes me want to sit down and scrap too.
So leave Kerry some love by commenting under this post. Thanks for the inspiration Lucy and Kerry! We'll be back tomorrow with a very special Technique Tuesday that you really won't want to miss. See you then.
Today Rachel brings us a super quick and easy idea for customizing your flower embellishments.
Isn't that flower so pretty! Thanks Rachel. Come back tomorrow to check out who designer Larissa Albernaz has selected for our Member Monday.
As I have mentioned before, the design team was sponsored by Hambly this month and today we are going to take a look at some more of the design team's creations. I think it is amazing how the design team really showed the versatility of Hambly's products. You'll see some layouts here that are super bright, colorful, and trendy, and some that have more of a vintage flair. If you'd like to see close ups pics or more detailed shots be sure to stop by the Hambly gallery here.
Golden Child by Tonya Dirk. Here Tonya used a Clear Scraps background for this large sized photo of her son.
Artist by Stacy Cohen. Stacy added real paintbrushes she "borrowed" from her kids to complement this super cute layout.

I am sure most of you have already seen and snatched up all of that new Prima from the June release. Many things are now sold out but there are still a few pretties hanging around, but they won't be there long. Here are a few items still in stock and looking for a good home:
Parlor Petals
Gallery Roses
These Fairyrings are my favorite by far.
Cherry Blossom Branches
Fleur Danseur
The store has more color selections of these styles and more. So click here to get yours.
We also have the new line by My Little Yellow Bicycle in the store called Fresh Print Traveler. I so love the color combo on this line. Have a look for yourself. Going on a road trip or some other vacation this summer? This line is so perfect.

These super cute chip shapes are embossed. So cool.
And My Little Yellow Bicycle makes journaling a snap with their new journal tablets.

Are you ready for the icing on the cake? Have you been waiting not so patiently for this little mini book stand like I have? They came to the store and went like hotcakes but as of this minute there is one left, so run to the store and get this one. Go ahead...I'll wait.
If you are like me you toss your mini books in a basket and no one really gets to see them. This stand is so perfect for displaying them proudly. You can switch them out for the season or each month or each week if you want to. Such a great idea. Click here to go get it!
Well, that's all from me for today. Enough enabling. See you tomorrow with more highlights of the design team's Hambly creations. See you then.
