Technique Tuesday - Wendela Lam

Do you want to make these romantic flowers? I’ll show you how!All what you need is a needle, thread and tulle…

Cut a piece of tulle approximately 12 x 2 inches
and fold in half like this:
With your needle and thread, you make a firm initial stitch and continue a running stitch to the end
At the end of the piece of tulle, you pull the thread, so the tulle will bunch like this:
Your flower is almost ready - just shape it like a rose
then stitch right across the bottom of the stalk. The rose is secure now and will not unravel.
Lastly you cut the end so your rose will lay flat against the layout
When you use a smaller piece of tulle, your rose will be smaller too. I used small ones on the left bottom of my layout.

Enjoy! Please share your roses with us too!
