Little Something Sunday with Carole Janson

"Bat Wall Hanging"

Step 1:
First you draw the cute little bat onto some chipboard and cut out and cover. I used Whoo-ligans Madness by Bo Bunny.

Step 2:
Next you cut out a circle dome shape from the packaging from any product. I used the buttons and bling packaging from Bo Bunny. Stick scalloped strips of paper with the Whoo-ligans Madness pattern paper as shown in the below photo.

Here is another photo of the underside.
Step 3
You can then stick the dome shape to the bat shape you cut out in Step 1 with a glue gun.

Step 4
Then you can add the embellishing to the bat, such as the the eyes, the mouth, and the bow.
Step 5
You can then stick some ribbon to the bottom of your bat and tie it onto a stick. Then create some paper leaves and gems which you can adhere to the stick using a glue gun.

You can also add some chipboard pieces and cut-outs for extra embellishing.
Here are some close ups of the Bat.

Sassafras Lass Mix And Mend:
I absolutely love this collection and I'm sure it has everything to do with the fact that Sass teamed up with one of my all time favorite designers, Michelle Allyn Clement. Everything about this collection is fantastic.
Sassafrass Lass Count me In:
Well you can certainly count me in for this collection. I love those cute little animals and as in true Sass fashion this collection is very universal and can be used for many different projects.

October Guest Designer Reveal

I know it's already the end of October but please join me in welcoming our October Guest Designer Piradee Talvanna. Make sure you take the time to say "hi" and leave her some love.

Hi everyone, I'm Piradee Talvanna and am currently living in Singapore with my (super supportive) hubby for the last 2 plus years since we relocated here for work (I'm originally from Bangkok). I would say that I have always been a crafty person, always trying to find things to do or create, but really picked up on scrapbooking when I moved to Singapore and fell in love with all the yummy goodies at my LSS. I can still remember that day... I was a like a little kid in a candy store, going oooh and ahhh and guess what, I still am! Also its the perfect outlet to let my creativity and letting my imagination run wild and especially helps me de-stress after a long day of work. I am also truly honored to be part of the design teams for Lily Bee and my LSS (in Singapore) Made With Love; its truly a dream for me to be able to play with all their amazing goodies and giving me an opportunity to share my inspirations...

Here are a few Piradee's fabulous LO's. You can check out more of her work on her blog I'll be posting the LO's she made with the October kit in a few days so stay tuned...

October Design Team Reveal

Today let's check in with the design team and see what they have created with the fabulous October kit, "Autumn Leaf Festival" available here.

First up are two LO's from Karen Gunberg. I love how she intertwines her journaling with her titles. And who doesn't love all that white space and punch work.

Next up are two fabulous LO's by Kay Rogers. She really shows off the pattern paper on these beauties.

Here's a real treat from Michelle. I love how she uses the Maya Road coasters in this.

And finally a couple of gems from Tonya Dirk. Don't you just love that cluster of flowers, and did you notice that she stitched the date on the border.

....still more to come so stay tuned.

Technique Tuesday with Kay Rogers

As you can see from the photo, I had mere pieces of the October kit left. Since I loved the line from Lily Bee, I couldn't get myself to throw the scraps away! I decided rather than store the scraps, that I would make page elements for use on future pages.

The trend right now is homemade elements, and I needed the practice. You could use whatever die-cutting machine you own, or even use up your punches. I chose to use my Slice and the elements of the kit. Here are 6 page elements that you could make with your October kit.

As a bonus Kay will be offering these 6 fabulous page elements as an RAK. All you have to do is leave a comment to this post.
