Make your own weathered background with recycled chipboard.

Supplies :
Gesso
Old Box
Paint
Distress ink

Tear a piece from a box and remove the top layer of paper to reveal the ribbed edges. Then take some Gesso and spread that on it, not all over leave a few places uncovered. Then take some paint in the color you like and do the same as you did with the gesso.Then take distress ink Walnut stain and rub it over it, so you get an old look.
Now your background is finished and you can go on and decorate.
