September Kit Design Team Reveal

September's kit, "Office Space", featured lots of bright colors for all types of layouts ans was particularly geared towards a back to school theme. But as you can see here, Karen Grunberg turned the table and made these papers work for a layout about her son Nathaniel.

"Pensive" By Karen Grunberg I always love Karen's clean designs paired with thoughtful journaling. Read Karen's journaling below.
What are you thinking, I wonder.
Watching that toy.
What goes through your little mind?
Do you want to reach for it?
Are you curious what it is?
Are you wondering where
the boy who plays with those went?
Do you want to chew it?
I would give so much to be able to
your tiny, little mind.

"Growing Up" by Michelle Quinn This layout features lots of clustering of embellishments as well as lots of handcutting. Handcutting is such a great way to give patterned papers a new look and to make new embellishments. Michelle took these summery and some school themed papers to make this layout about her daughter growing up.

"Summer Fun" Mini Album by Jennifer Findlay I used mostly the Sassafras papers and the Lily Bee paper for this mini where I put together all of my favorite pictures from the summer. You can see more of my mini in the designer gallery here. And here is a link to the library cards I designed for journaling with this kit.
"The Big Yellow Bus" by Stacy Cohen In this layout we can obviously see the school theme but Stacy turns it up a notch by using an actual ruler and pencil on this layout. So genius! And these are such great pictures as well.
Never fear there are more designs with the September kit coming as well as instructions so keep checking the Design Gallery for further inspiration and I will feature more here on the blog next week!
