Meet Jennifer Longenecker-New AMM Designer!

We interrupt this Technique Tuesday to introduce you to one of our new designers!!

Welcome new design team member, Jennifer Longenecker! Today I would like to introduce you to this talented lady and the newest member of our team.

Hi all, my name is Jennifer Longenecker. I am a SAHM to 5 fabulous kiddos ages 10, 8, and 6. Zach and Austin are twins and Nathan and Heather are twins. Emily, my middle child, was also a twin and is very adamant that everyone knows that she is just as special as her brothers and sister. My hubby and I just celebrated our 13th anniversary, and we currently live in the great Lone Star state. I began scrapbooking in 2001 after Emily was born and in doing so uncovered a love for art and design. Scrapbooking is my release from the day to day stresses and has helped me work through some past hurts and disappointments. I am not sure I have a label for my style yet as it continues to grow as I learn more, but I love all things vintage and am currently enjoying playing with paint, mists and book text. When I am not scrapping I enjoy being with my family and searching for great antique finds which usually involves a little restoration.
Have a peek here at some of Jennifer's beautiful work.

I sent Jennifer a few interview questions so we could get to know her a little better. Read on to see what she had to say.

1. How did you get started in scrapping? A friend of mine introduced me to Creative Memories in 2001 right after my oldest daughter was born. I went to one of the CM demonstrations and signed up to be a consultant. I really didn't enjoy the consulting part of scrapbooking, so I decided to let it go after my initial 3 months. Shortly afterward I found my first LSS and that opened a door to so many possibilities and my passion took off from there.
2. How would you describe your style? I'm not really sure how to define my style. I am really enjoying a shabby chic, vintage, mixed media look with lots of white space.
3. What are your favorite manufacturers? There are so many to choose from, but I would have to say Prima and Sassafras Lass are my faves right now. It does change a little with each new CHA release.
4. What is your favorite color or color combo? My favorite color combo right now would be creams and golds ... they remind me of a golden sunny morning and bring so much peace.
5. Do you have any other hobbies other than scrapping? I dabble a little with sewing and painting, but my favorite hobby is antiquing if that's even a word. I really enjoy finding a bargain on an antique item and giving it a new life.
Thanks Jennifer. Look for more inspiration from Jennifer in the coming months and be sure to visit her blog.
