Technique Tuesday with Rachel Hall

Creating an Album Mini-Book for Your Instant Photos

Materials Needed:
Thin chipboard
Patterned paper and embellishments (I used the May AMM kit for my book)
Strong adhesive like fabritac
Hole punch
Ribbon
Name Badge holders (like these http://www.badgedepot.com/JamPlasticsFiles/H-0.JPG I found mine at the Dollar Tree)
Bone folder and/or scoring tool
Book binding or packing tape

Directions:
Cut a piece of thin chipboard to 7 3/4" x 4".
Score the chipboard 3 1/5" in from both ends to create your book.
Score on the front cover 3/4" out from the spine.
Cover with paper front and back, making sure to fold along your scoring as you go so that you have full coverage.
Using your book binding or packing tape, tape along the spine to re-enforce your book, especially everywhere that bends.
Using your name badge holder as a guide, mark where you will be punching holes in the front and back covers to tie the holders into place.
Punch holes.
Place holders into book by tying them in with a ribbon.
Decorate and embellish cover how you like.
