August Design Team Reveal

I want to take a moment to highlight some projects from the design team using the August kit, which you can get here. This month it seems the team was all on the same page with getting more out of the supplies included by getting creative and making those supplies stretch. Read on to learn some simple tips for stretching your supplies.

"Just Three Girls" By Jennifer Findlay"
First up is this one from me, I rarely use a rub on whole. Try cutting them up to make your supplies stretch farther. Here I cut the Circle rub on from K&Co that was in the kit in half and layered it over some patterned paper. I also cut the Prima felt vine in half to get more use out of it. I also cut up the Prima pink Pearl swirls to get more use from them.

"Tummy Time" by Karen Grunberg
Next is this layout by Karen showing that you can still use pink on a boy layout. I love her perfect layering underneath the photo of her super cute son, Nathaniel. This is also a great layout idea for using up scraps of paper. Just layering them all askew underneath a photo. Karen also cut the tag image from one of the patterned papers to use as an embellishment, making the patterned paper doubly as useful.

"Wink" by Lucy Edson
Next we have this layout from Lucy who also cut the rubon to get some extra mileage out of it. I like her block of patterned paper running vertically down the center balanced with some horizontally placed patterned paper and the horizontal photo.

"Crazy About You" by Rachel Hall
Rachel cut the epoxy border sticker to make it stretch the width of her page. Since the sticker would be hidden behind the photo if she overlapped it, she got more use from it by snipping it to stretch a little further.

"Notes" by San Dupre
Susan shows us that the kit can work for boy layouts too. It has lots of green and blue, two of my favorite colors. this layout also shows that Susan cut some of the designs out of the patterned paper to make into embellishments. This is an easy way to get more bang for your buck.
