Fimo Embellishments
Here is a quick and easy way to make your own embellishments using polymer clay (Fimo, Sculpey, etc.).

You will need the following supplies:

1. Polymer clay
2. Rolling pin
3. Stamps (flowers, butterflies, leaves, photo corners, etc.)
4. Paint and Stickles (optional)

You can either use white polymer clay and paint it after it is baked, or you can start off with colored clay.

1. Simply roll out the clay so that it’s about 1/8 of an inch thick. Use your stamp to make an impression in the clay:

2. Cut out the stamped image:

I also made some free-form leaves and buttons (I used glue caps to cut out the circles):

3. Bake your pieces in the oven or toaster. Since you are using thin pieces, you don’t need to bake the clay as long as the directions on the package specify. I bake mine in my toaster oven for about 4 minutes at 250 degrees. The exact temperature and bake time will depend on your oven and the thickness of your clay, so you might need to play with this a bit.

4. Paint and decorate your embellishments as desired:

I'd never thought of stamping polymer clay before! What a great idea, I'm going to give that a bash tomorrow. Thanks!
