Technique Tuesday with Kat Glossop

Misting & Chalking

Masking is a favourite technique of mine. Here I've used some chipboard vines as a mask and misted over with paint spray.

To add more dimension, I took a cotton bud and brushed it lightly over the chalk.
I then applied it to the masked vine area filling it in.

Then I outlined it with a journaling pen to finish it off. Chalks seem to be used less often nowadays, but I think they're great for adding a subtle colour to highlight your page.

Don't be afraid to mix up those mediums and make some old techniques new again.
