It's a new week and that calls for some new inspiration. This week's Layout of the Week was chosen by Larissa Albernaz. She chose the layout below by Mayumi Akamine.

"Brothers" by Mayumi Akamine

So we asked Tara a few questions so we can get to know her a little better.
1) Tell us a bit about yourself. What got you started in scrapbooking?
My name is Mayumi. I was born in Brazil but live in Japan since 1990. I love arts in general and scrapbooking is my passion. I knew scrap in a arts and crafts store 5 years ago, but only later that my children had been born that I started to make many LO's. They are my great inspirations..

2) What three supplies would you not scrap without?
Paper, scissors and glue :)

3) What is your favorite part about scrapbooking?
The best thing for me in scrapbooking is to keep the memories of all phases of my children, I want to make beautifull albums of them. I choose photos that touch my heart and I try to count a little of the history of these moments in my LO's.
Beyond having this delicious form to preserve our better moments, make scrap is a great pleasure!

4) What are your favorite products and manufacturers?
There are so many wonderful options...When I go to a scrap shop look like a child in the playground :)
Some of the brands I have used lately are Prima, Websters Pages, Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, Rouge de Garance and October afternoon.

5) tell us about scrapbooking [art and craft] in your country - Japan.
Here in Japan, there are many lovers of arts. Whenever I can participate in Crops, events, crafts and stamps fairs....Every year we have the Hobby Show and Stamp Carnival and in these events has a lot of scrapbooking supplies, everything to make me crazy :)

Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us.
