Little Something Sunday with Zoe Nemburt
What’s a better way to start off the new year than to reflect on your favourite pictures from the year before, And then have them as wall art!! Well that is exactly what I have done with this Printers Tray, I have a stash of Printers trays I love the look of them when they are finished, they are also great for gifts for family you can decorate them and then leave a few areas free for their own pictures.
Here is my most recent Tray created for this post today, these 3 photos are my favourites from 2010.
And here is another tray I created this past summer using smaller pictures when we went to Cavendish Beach on Prince Edward Island
Have you created a Tray that you would like to show us? Please visit our gallery on the forum and show us your work or leave us a link in the comments section below.
Happy Creating.

Storage Ideas from Zoe Nemburt
I have this awesome embellishment centre made by Making Memories, I’m not the kind of person to buy my favourite ribbons by the spool so all my favourite vintage trims and laces hang over the dowel where the spools would go, the shelves I use for my Rubber stamps and Glimmers mists and chalks. My wonderful Jewelry Bust I found before Christmas is dressed with my very best! That being bloomers from websters
pages, I love these so much!
My husband made the table it is actually a full sized dining table which is on loan to me until we move a bigger house!! Little does he know it will be my scrap table forever. HA! I have my Thickers and a few other alpha on a clip it up at the edge of my desk this makes it super easy to find the perfect alpha for my project and I seriously have over 200 packs on here! Scary! Chipboard, Distress Inks, Glimmer Glazes, Prima Flowers etc etc all have their place in various baskets around my table and underneath my table I keep my punches and paper packs. Hope you enjoyed the mini tour of my scrappy space!

Technique Tuesday with Jennifer Longenecker
Today I'm going to show you a fun way to create an interesting background for your cards or photos. You can use any paper item that you have multiples of such as tickets and punches.
I'm going to show you how to use this technique using punches and then I'll show you an example I did using tickets.
Step 1: Gather your supplies. I used a butterfly punch and punched a bunch of butterflies from book paper.
Step 2: Glue your tickets or punched item to your paper or envelope.
Step 3: Give your project a good white wash with watered down acrylic paint.
Step 4: Add color with either water colors or watered down acrylic paint.
Step 5: Highlight an areas of your project by outlining a shape with your pen.
Step 6: Decorate to your hearts content.
Embroidery Floss Storage
Today I'm going to share a super simple way to store your embroidery floss. I love vintage items and I found this super cute vintage dominoes box with a complete set of black wooden dominoes. I took the dominoes out and threw them into my box for black embelishments and decided to keep the box on my desk.

It didn't take long to decide that I wanted to store my floss in that cute little box. I took an 8x10 plastic weaver's sheet and cut it down to several rectangles that were 6 squares wide and 12 squares long. Then I cut out notches in the sides to hold the floss.
I try to keep one of each color in the box and any extra's I keep in my sewing basket.
Now I just need to make something to fit into the lid that will hold my embroidery needles.
Little Something Sunday with Marie Ramirez
Ok I did a little reminder to keep my hope alive. Sometimes life gets you down and all we have is hope. Begin to hope. When new years comes for me I always hope the year will be filled with love, health and wealth.
1. Gather up supplies. I save all my little scraps and bits for small special projects like this.
* I don't use all the stuff I gather sometimes. It is nice to have bits to choose from.*
2. Start to layer your creation.
3. To make the cupcake liner flower all I did was fold and smoosh it down. Add a few layers of paper and a button to finish it off.
4. I love crepe paper streamers. They are super cheap and come in great colors. I do a running stitch with my sewing machine and pull the strings when I am done to create the ruffle.
5. I cut out a paper word bubble for my bird.
6.stamped my word.
7.Glue down my layers and viola. Sweet little reminder that no matter what happens you must always hold on to hope.
Hope you had a wonderful New Year!
