Welcome back for a new Member Monday. this week's pick comes from Stacy Cohen who chose the layout below by Linda van Steensel’s (aka Sunshine22). To see more of Linda's gallery click here.
“Sweet Hearts”
Here's waht Stacy had to say about picking this layout: "The first time I saw Linda’s beautiful layout it took my breath away. I just love all the layers, the stitching and beautiful details. There are so many wonderful little things to look at. Every time I look at this page I discover a new little detail that I didn’t see before. Stunning work!!"
Here's a little interview Stacy did with Linda. Take a look and get to know her a little better.
1. When did you start scrapping?
I was always collecting receipts and bits and pieces when we were on holiday to include in the photo album. You can't really call that scrapping, but the scrapping bug was there somewhere.
I really started scrapping about two years ago just after Lars was born. I wanted to do something really special with his photos and found out about scrapping on the internet. At first I did a lot of shopping (....still do) and my first layout was a frame with baby photos for my parents and in-laws. It just continued after that.
2. What elements and/or products you do include on almost all of your pages?
Ribbon/lace, flowers, Thickers and I love layering and distressing.
3. How would you define your style?
A bit of shabby chic/vintage. I love going to flea markets to search for old books, playing cards and all sorts of embellishments. I like to combine the regular scrapping supplies with unusual one-of-a-kind finds.
4. How long does it take to complete a layout?
Sometimes it feels like forever. I'm a really slow and detailed scrapper. I'm trying to speed up a bit but I don't always have enough spare time. It can take me over a week to finish a layout.
5. What's your favorite snack to eat while scrapping?
When I'm not on a diet: chocolate. We have a scrap evening once a month with a few ladies on my street (I couldn't believe there were more scrappers so nearby!!) and we always scrap better after a glass of rose :-)
Thanks so much Stacy and Linda. Be sure to leave Linda some love by commenting under this post or on this layout directly in the gallery, which you can find here.
