Little Soemthing Sunday with Susan Dupre

Fall Place Card & Napkin Rings
Well, Fall entertaining is coming upon us soon. Here is a cute way to add that special touch to your dinner table. I made this little acorn place card/napkin ring. It was super easy to do. All I did was:

1. Draw the shape of an acorn. I cut out three separate patterned paper for each section of the acorn i.e. bottom, top and stem.
2. Before I did my stitching, I used some inks and chalk to distress the edges.
3. Next I drew criss-cross lines on the top portion of the acorn as guidelines for my stitching.
4. I then proceed to stitch the top and then along the sides of the acorn.

If you are not much into entertaining, you can still make this easy acorn and use it as a journaling spot on a Fall layout. Have fun, and I can wait to see what acorns or other Fall items you create!

Thanks for the inspiration Susa. These are so cute!!
